Falls Bridge Road, Blue Hill; $1,395,000
The local/regional real estate market is divided somewhat
geographically, while at times overlapping. The five primary markets
are:
Mount Desert Island (and perhaps Trenton and maybe Lamoine);
the Blue Hill peninsula, comprised of Blue Hill itself, Brooklin,
Sedgwick, Castine, Deer Isle, and several others, including Surry and
Orland;
Ellsworth and the surrounding towns, such as Otis, and, yes, Trenton, Lamoine, Hancock;
eastern and northern Hancock County (with such towns as Sullivan, Gouldsboro, Winter Harbor, Franklin, Eastbrook and so on);
and, farther east, we serve the western half of Washington County,
with such towns as Milbridge, Cherryfield, Steuben, Machias and so
forth.
This report covers the Blue Hill peninsula, as of June 9, 2006.
At this time there are approximately 385 properties currently on the
market. 218 of them are residential properties, including single
family homes, cottages, farmhomes or even mobile homes. There are 146
vacant parcels of land, and 19 commercial offerings available. 57 of
the lots or homes are on the water.
The prices range for waterfront properties range all the way
from $79,300 for a lot on the Bagaduce River in Sedgwick to $8,800,000
for a magnificient oceanfront estate in Brooklin (photo below).

As you might surmise, there is a lot of variety in these current
offerings. Whether you're seeking a lovely waterfront cottage, or nice
family home, or a place upon which to build your dream home, please let
me know what you're looking for. If you have been thinking of putting
your property on the market, you might want to know how to best
maximize your value. You need only go to our brief webmail interview to
let us know how we may be of service to you.
As usual, if you see anything here that you'd like more information
on, please send me an email, and I'll get the details right out to you!
